Some notes deserve to come back on a schedule: a weekly review, a monthly bill, a yearly renewal.
Repeat rules
When you create or edit a reminder, the Repeat field offers five options:
- No repeat (the default)
- Daily
- Weekly
- Monthly
- Yearly
That's the whole set, kept deliberately simple. The same options are available in the web app, the iPhone and iPad app, and the Mac app.
How repeating works
After a recurring reminder fires, it reschedules itself automatically for the next occurrence. You don't need to touch it: the note simply keeps coming back.
A monthly reminder set for the 31st lands on the last day of shorter months, so nothing is ever skipped.
Stopping a recurring reminder
Recurring reminders can be snoozed, but they don't offer a dismiss action: dismissing only applies to one-time reminders. To stop one, edit the reminder and switch Repeat to No repeat, or delete the reminder from the note.
