When one note at a time is too slow, select several and act on all of them together.
Selecting notes
- In the web app on desktop: Cmd or Ctrl+Click toggles a note, Shift+Click selects a range, and Cmd or Ctrl+A selects everything. Escape clears the selection. You can also choose "Select Notes" from the note list menu.
- In the web app on mobile: long-press a note to enter selection mode, then tap to add more.
- On iPhone, iPad, and Mac: choose "Select" from a note's context menu or the list's menu. On the Mac app, Cmd-click and Shift-click work too. A select-all button appears while selecting.
What you can do
While notes are selected, the bulk actions bar replaces the note list header:
- Pin or unpin the selection
- Add a tag to every selected note
- Export the selection (bulk export requires Caliu Pro)
- Archive them in one go
- Move to trash
The bar adapts to where you are: in the Trash it offers restore, delete permanently, and empty trash. In the Archive it offers unarchive and move to trash.
Selection clears when you switch views or finish an action.
