Your tags live in your notes, so managing a tag means Caliu edits the notes for you.
Renaming a tag
Open the tag's menu in the sidebar and choose rename. Caliu rewrites the hashtag in every note that carries it, so #projct becomes #project everywhere at once.
Renames respect the hierarchy: renaming #work to #job also rewrites nested tags like #work/meetings to #job/meetings. Hashtags inside code blocks are left untouched, and the rewrite does not count as an edit, so your notes keep their modification dates.
Pinning a tag
Pin a tag from the same sidebar menu to keep it at the top of your tag list. Pinned tags always sort first, which is handy when a few tags do most of the work.
Removing tags
- From one note: delete the hashtag from the note's text. That is all it takes.
- Entirely: remove the hashtag from every note that uses it. Once no notes carry a tag, it disappears from the sidebar automatically.
There is no separate tag database to maintain. Your notes are always the source of truth.
