Keyboard shortcuts

Keep your hands on the keyboard: Caliu covers the essentials everywhere and goes deep on the Mac.

In the Mac app

The Mac app defines around 60 commands, organized by category: General (new note, search), Notes (pin, delete, sort), Editor (bold, italic, highlight, headings), Insert (image, table, code block), Table (add or remove rows and columns), and Window.

Every shortcut is remappable. Open Settings, then Keyboard Shortcuts: search for a command, click its shortcut, and press the new key combination. Caliu warns you about conflicts with other commands, and you can reset any shortcut (or all of them) back to the default.

In the web app

The web app ships a focused set of shortcuts across General, Layout, and Editor categories. Some highlights (use Cmd on Mac, Ctrl on Windows and Linux):

ShortcutAction
Cmd+KCommand palette
Cmd+Shift+KNew note
Cmd+B / Cmd+IBold / italic
Cmd+FFind in note
Cmd+\Toggle sidebar

These are remappable too: open the command palette and choose Keyboard Shortcuts, then click any shortcut and press a new combination.
