Pinning notes
Pin a note from its actions menu to keep it at the top of the note list. Pinned notes float above everything else in whatever view you are in, and pins sync across your devices.
Sort options
The note list can be sorted four ways:
- Modification date (the default): most recently edited first
- Creation date: newest first
- Title: alphabetical
- Manual: your own order
In the web app, open the note list's title menu and pick an option under "Sort by". On the Mac app, use the sort menu in the toolbar. On iPhone and iPad, the sort menu lives in the note list as well. Your choice is remembered.
Manual order
Choose Manual and the list becomes draggable: pick up any note and drop it where you want it. Your custom order syncs across devices, so the arrangement you build on one device shows up on the others.
A couple of notes on manual mode:
- Pinned notes still stay at the top.
- Drag-to-reorder is not available in the Trash, or while you have notes selected for a bulk action.
